THE BIBLE STUDY GROUP

The Bible Study Group is an organisation that brings Catholics together to study the Scriptures in order to deepen their faith and their love for God and neighbours.  It aims to help all Catholics to practice in their lives the treasures of their faith.  It is indeed a group of Catholics that bind themselves together in love in order to study the word of God.

In the cause of the study, the group looks at the historical background of the text and apply it to their daily lives.  Indeed, the atmosphere is a welcoming experience you can not afford to miss.

Are you interested in studying the Word of God?

If you are interested in learning more about the Word of God why not consider joining the Bible Study Group of St George's Cathedral.  The group meets every Sunday at 7.00pm, after the evening Mass, in the Ledge, in Cathedral House.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." Psalm 119: 105.

It is affirmed that the Scripture is the inspired Word of God which can draw you to a deeper life of holiness and relationship with God and love of your neighbours. "let your mind be filled with everything that is true, everything that is honourable, everything that is upright and pure, everything that we love and admire with whatever is good and praiseworthy" (Philippians 4:8)  "for the word of God is a double edged sword" (Hebrews 4: 12).

Everybody is welcome – simply ask Father Mark Odion for directions to The Ledge after the Sunday evening Mass, or ask any of the Cathedral clergy or staff, who will be pleased to direct you to the Bible Study Group.

If interested, you may speak to Father Mark E. Odion, MSP (02079285256) or just come and participate.  Come and be united with the Catholic community of believers in sharing the word of God.
